Director of Interfaith Scotland and a member of the Bahá’ícommunity, Maureen has spent many years fostering dialogue and understanding across faiths and beliefs. She is passionate about building bridges and creating opportunities for people of all traditions to share in peace and friendship. As she prepares to retire later this year, Maureen is warmly appreciated for over two decades of dedicated service in fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding.

A long-time student and teacher with the Brahma Kumaris, Maureen is ProgrammeDirector for the UK and has a deep interest in how spiritual awareness can bring positive change in the world. She has been active in interfaith work for decades, encouraging reflection, dialogue, and the practice of inner peace.

Maureen Sier
Maureen is retiring later this year from her role as Director of Interfaith Scotland, a position she has held with dedication for over two decades. A member of the Bahá’ícommunity, she has worked tirelessly to foster dialogue and understanding across faiths and beliefs in Scotland and beyond. Under her leadership, Interfaith Scotland has become a nationally recognisedorganisationand an active partner in international interfaith networks, sharing Scotland’s experience of dialogue and peacebuilding on the global stage. She has represented Scotland at international conferences, contributed to policy discussions on equality and diversity, and consistently championed the role of spiritual values in building more cohesive societies. Her commitment to interfaith engagement has touched countless lives and will continue to inspire long into the future.
Sister Maureen Goodman
Sister Maureen is ProgrammeDirector for the Brahma Kumaris UK and has been a leading figure in interfaith dialogue and spiritual education for many decades. A long-time student and teacher of meditation, she offers deep insight into how spiritual awareness can bring about positive personal and social change. Internationally, she represents the Brahma Kumaris at the United Nations in Geneva and has participated in high-level dialogues on peace, sustainability, and the role of values in building a better world. She has spoken at global forums including the UN Climate Conferences, Parliament of the World’s Religions, and interfaith summits across Europe and beyond. Through her work, she continues to encourage reflection, meditation, and dialogue as pathways to inner peace and a more compassionate, sustainable future.
